Privacy Policy — Squizly

This Privacy Policy explains how Squizly, operated by Mikhail Alforov(“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use squizly.joyknight.com(the “Service”). We are the data controller for the personal data described here.

1. Data we collect

Email address — which you provide in order to receive your result report.
Quiz answers and results — the answers you submit and the score and level we calculate from them, so we can generate your report.
Language preference — stored in a cookie so the Service can display in your chosen language.
Usage data (with your consent) — if you accept analytics cookies, we collect anonymized product-analytics events (such as which quiz you start and complete) and technical data like device and approximate location, to measure and improve our quizzes. We do not send your email address to our analytics provider.
Payment information — when you make a purchase, payment details are collected and processed directly by our payment processor (see below). We do not receive or store your full card details.

2. How we use your data

To score your quiz and generate and deliver your personalized report by email;
To process your payment and provide customer support;
To remember your language preference;
To comply with our legal obligations and prevent abuse of the Service.

Our legal bases for processing are the performance of our contract with you (delivering the report you requested), your consent, and our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service.

3. No database of your results

We do not maintain a long-term database of quiz results. Your scored result is generated and emailed to you, and—when you make a purchase—round-trips through our payment processor solely so that your report can be delivered after payment. We retain only what is necessary to provide the Service and meet legal and accounting obligations.

4. Service providers

We share data only with providers who help us operate the Service:

Paddle.com Market Ltd — our merchant of record, which processes payments, handles taxes, and manages refunds. Your payment data is handled under their privacy policy.
Resend — our email provider, used to deliver your report to your inbox.
Vercel — our hosting provider, which serves the Service.
PostHog — our product-analytics provider (hosted in the EU), used only with your consent to measure and improve the Service. We do not send your email address to PostHog.

These providers process data on our behalf and may be located outside your country; where required, such transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards.

5. Cookies

We use a functional cookie (lang) to remember your language preference. It is always set and is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

With your consent, we also set analytics cookies for PostHog (see above) to measure and improve our quizzes. We ask for this consent via a banner on your first visit; you can decline, in which case no analytics cookies are set and no analytics data is collected. You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site’s cookies in your browser.

6. Data retention

We retain transactional records (such as proof of purchase) for as long as required by law, typically for accounting and tax purposes. Email and quiz data not required for those purposes are not retained beyond what is needed to deliver and support your report.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing, and to data portability. You may also withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@squizly.joyknight.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision.
